I’m looking to create a directory website for a community.
This will show the categories below –
Health & Medical – Doctors, Pharmacists, Defib Units, Mental Health Services
Businesses – Shops, Butchers, Takeaways, Restaurant, Pubs
Charities & Volunteering Opportunities
Parks & Green Spaces
Faith and Worship showing places of worship
Children and Young people – showing activities and groups for kids
Education showing schools and outdoor classrooms
Sports & Leisure – for all sports teams and fitness classes in the area
I will also be looking for an events page where people can see all the events in the area and can upload their own.
Essentially, the plan will be to show absolutely everything on offer in the area.
I don’t plan on charging people to use the website, so wouldn’t need the commerce features, it will cover a small geographical area, part of a city.
I will also be looking at creating separate directories from the main for small activities such as for residents to mark their houses as Halloween trick or treat stops etc. This will be on an event by event basis if required.
